Exploring the topic of sleep, this workshop increases appreciation of the role sleep plays in health and wellbeing.
Covering why we sleep, what governs sleep, the sleep cycle, and the impact of sleep deprivation on the brain and body, from many health perspectives, it increases appreciation of the benefits of prioritising good quality and duration of sleep on both our physical health and our mental health.
With guidance on simple things we can do ourselves to proactively minimise the possibility of sleep deprivation on our health, lives and work, it also provides practical ways to improve our sleep in order to enhance our resilience and performance.
Understand the importance of the sleep and the role that sleep plays in the context of physical and mental wellbeing.
Understand your own current status and habits, when it comes to sleep and how it/they might be contributing to your own wellbeing.
Understand options for improving both your quality and duration of sleep, to reduce risk of ill-health and optimise your wellbeing.
